I have read reviews, considered its playstyle, watched videos on its performance, etc. Just seems like an amazingly fun ship to play and experiment with. Anyways, I digress. I currently have 3,650 doubloons on my account, and need to get to 4,700 in order to purchase said ship.

I cant bring myself to do that though, as I just recently bought naval aviation containers when they came out (As my first purchase ever). I do have amazon gift cards that I have no use for, and over 150$ in steam cards that I would LOVE to be able to spend.

Too bad that they force you to create a new account just to pay with steam. Are there any alternate methods to purchasing with paypal/credit card? Is there any possible way to acquire 1,000 doubloons through game progression, or missions? Had my eye on a premium for some time - the graf spee.

Is there any possible way to acquire 1,000 doubloons through game progression, or missions?Enjoy the Graf Spee I enjoy the ships a lot and it is one of my favorite ships in the game.Just in case you are need of a captain build, I use PT, PM, AR, LS, EM, SI, CE, BFT, and the skill that allows you to send up second set of catapult fighters, but I forgot what that skill is called. Starting out though most important skills are PT, AR, SI, and CE with 10 point captain. Then you can add the rest as you go.You will also need the premium Consumables which can be resupplied for credits.Upgrades: Main Armaments Mod 1, Damage Control Mod 1, Aiming Mod 1, and Rudder Shift Mod 1.Hope this helps since these are things I have learned in my many Graf Spee battles that can give you the best fighting chances in battles while using Graf Spee. While she is a very fine Ship, she can also be temperamental if she does not get what she needs which is also the way German BBs are as well. I’ll second that. Different people love different ships and all that, but I didn’t like Graf Spee at all and actually ended up selling her at some point when I was desperate for credits. In hindsight I wish I hadn’t done THAT, but it’s not like she was gonna see a lot of action if I’d kept her.I don't recommend selling ships unless they are non prem/non reward ships.

I was dumber back then. It’s why I said that I wish now that I hadnt done it. I know now that you NEVER sell a premium.even a “free” one. That was fantastically outstanding, kind, generous and speaks volumes about you sir!As for purchasing Doubloons, I would suggest that you look at every package offered for the sale of Doubloons, including those with Premium Time included.

By look at them, I mean sitting down and working out the actual cost of the doubloons in each package per dollar spend. If there is Premium Time included then find out how much that cost and subtract that before figuring out the per dollar cost of the doubloons in that package.

You will be very, very surprised at the variance in doubloons per dollar spent.
